Steve and I both want to tell you thank you, thank you a million times for everything you did for us and Jenna to make her wedding the best wedding we’ve (and most of our guests) ever experienced. I cannot begin to count the number of compliments we got on everything. Our guests loved the food, they all said the service was impeccable, and they were all in an extremely good mood so I suspect they enjoyed the liquor also. The staff really came through for us also and we appreciate all their attentiveness and efforts to help us enjoy the night as much as possible. I don’t know what you’ve heard from the staff, but the wedding was so much fun for everyone that it was great beyond our wildest dreams!!
Without a doubt, Hotel ZaZa is a class act and when I have time I intend to tell the world about it.
I will miss you and working with you. It has been an absolute pleasure. You are a very special person, lovely inside and out. You and the Hotel ZaZa staff did an incredible job making our night magical and so very memorable. My guests were so impressed with their whole experience from start to finish. My compliments to Chef Jeff - the food was PERFECT!!! Everyone raved about our choices and how well everything was prepared. The attention to detail and the service was impeccable.
Lisa, thank you for all of your help and guidance during the process. You are a truly a pleasure to work with and I hope our paths cross again in the future. A quick story to share....a couple from NJ (my parents friends) were heading to Dallas after our wedding. They had booked a room at the Ritz Carlton. After their stay at Hotel ZaZa Houston...they cancelled the Ritz and booked ZaZa Dallas. They said they will never stay anywhere else when visiting these two cities...so well done!

I’m writing this letter to express our great satisfaction with the outstanding services provided by Denise Kalentzis on November 2, 2013, and during the months leading up to that date.
As you know, we hosted our daughter’s wedding reception at Zaza. We conducted a thorough search for a venue so that our only daughter’s event would be memorable by all who attended, but especially for her and her fiancé. We also wanted it to be a stress–free event for us, as hosts, so that we could relax and enjoy the party.
From the very beginning, Denise was eager to please, and made it impossible for us to consider any other Houston venue. Her calm and knowledgeable demeanor, along with her abundance of grace and kindness, won us over from the outset. She offered competitive price points for every aspect of the weekend without comprising outstanding quality. We were convinced that Zaza really wanted us to host our event there.
There were many times over the months of planning that Denise, with her calm and reassuring presence, kept things on an even keel, instilling in the bride and me a confidence that all would go well. While there were several occasions that Denise went above and beyond her responsibilities as Zaza’s event coordinator, a few really stand out. When our wedding coordinator wasn’t being helpful a few days before the wedding, Denise stepped in immediately. She was more than accommodating by taking boxes of wedding candleholders and other decorations to her office, so that I didn’t have to coordinate delivery to the wedding coordinator, for which I did not have time. Her attitude was that this was absolutely no problem at all. During the wedding weekend, she handled with aplomb glitches with rooms and other issues that were not within her purview, and did it all with her customary grace and calm.
The reception could not have been more perfect! Her suggestion to hold the cocktail hour by the pool resulted in a huge hit with all our guests, and set the tone for the rest of the evening. In fact, every suggestion Denise made added to the wonderfully successful party. The food and service were fantastic; and even though our butler, Betty, and banquet captain, Salvador, were clearly more than qualified for their jobs, I always sensed Denise’s presence, as she made sure everything went smoothly. There was a seemingly perfect synchronicity between staff and servers. The food was excellent and served at the correct temperature (kudos to the chef, by the way). If there were any problems during the evening, I am totally unaware of them, and I attribute that to Denise. I’ve hosted other parties over the years, and never have I received so many compliments.
I so appreciate the stress–free experience my husband and I enjoyed as a result of Denise’s professionalism and graciousness. It was clear to us that she desired a successful event for our family and friends, and she knocked it out of the park! She is a definite asset to your organization, and represented the best of Zaza to all of us.
