HOTEL POLICIES
Hotel ZaZa reserves the right to maintain our standards of property ambience in both public areas and accommodations. This includes, but is not limited to, noise levels, electronic equipment, music, dancing, candles, lighting, television and decorations. Outside electronic equipment for gatherings/functions is prohibited. Parties or gatherings not sanctioned by the hotel and fulfilled by our Catering Department are forbidden. Hotel sanctioned gatherings/ must conclude by timeline schedule, unless prior dispensation is given by Hotel Management, Sales or Catering. The maximum number of guests allowed to spend the night in a room as well as the maximum number of occupants allowed to gather in a room at one time varies per room but shall not exceed 6 people and is strictly enforced.
All reservations for overnight accommodation must be cancelled by 4:00 PM CST the day prior to the scheduled arrival date to avoid a penalty fee equivalent to the first night’s room and tax as reserved. In the event that a reservation is not cancelled and goes unused, the reservation will be deemed as a “No-Show” and a penalty fee equivalent to the first night’s room and tax will apply. During special events or on particular dates, different cancellation terms may apply.
A valid credit or debit card must be provided at the time of booking to guarantee a reservation. Hotel ZaZa reserves the right to pre-authorize a credit or debit card prior to arrival to ensure the card's validity. Upon check-in, authorization will be obtained for the duration of the stay to include room, tax and $100 per day incidental authorization. We require chip and pin technology and the owner of card must be physically present with a matching ID. We do not accept credit or debit card transactions via magnetic strip swipe. Any unused authorization to the credit or debit card will be released 3-5 business days after check-out. A 2.25% credit card processing fee will be added to all credit card transactions.
Check in is 4:00 PM to 12 Midnight and check out is promptly at 12 Noon. Early check in may be guaranteed by purchasing the accommodation the night before. Early check in that has not been guaranteed by purchasing the accommodation the night before is based on availability at the time of arrival. Late check-out is also subject to availability, may incur an additional fee and may be guaranteed by purchasing the accommodation the following night.
Poolside is reserved for Hotel ZaZa guests only. Visitors are not allowed poolside even with a hotel guest present. Proper attire and decorum is required. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. There is no lifeguard present poolside. The use of swimming activities or poolside use may be subject to seasonality or regular maintenance; private events may.
Hotel ZaZa Austin is a 100% non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted inside any area of the hotel or within 15 feet of the entrance, exit, or any other enclosed area. Cleaning fees apply.
Professional Photography is not permitted on property unless you are holding an event at the hotel. Feel free to snap away with your phone as long as you are not impeding on the ambience of our public spaces or the privacy and comfort of other guests.
All Hotel ZaZa locations are non-smoking facilities. Smoking is not permitted inside any area of the hotel or within 15 feet of the entrance, exit, or any other enclosed area. Should you or your guests smoke in the suite, a $500.00 cleaning fee will be assessed. This includes vaping and any other related activity which may or may not emit either an odor, smoke or both.
Food and beverage from outside sources is not permitted on property. This includes any type of cake, cupcakes, alcohol, delivery containers or coolers containing food and beverage. Hotel ZaZa reserves the right to confiscate food and beverage that has not been purchased from the property or to immediately and without prior notice, turn away any type of food and beverage deliveries not sanctioned by the Hotel and cancel the accompanying guestroom reservations.
Use of Z-Resorts, ZaZa name or logo or media postings of any kind on any venue, using ZaZa, is prohibited.

The safety and security of our guests, visitors and associates is of utmost importance to Hotel ZaZa. This policy is designed for the protection of our guests, visitors and associates, and pertains to the presence of firearms on hotel premises. Hotel ZaZa recognizes that guests or visitors may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes. This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.
Hotel premises are private property. Guests or visitors of a ZaZa hotel who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm, may not bring such firearm onto hotel premises and may only securely safeguard the firearm in a locked personal vehicle in the garage. Any guest or visitor who has stored their firearm in their locked vehicle is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms, in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located and ensuring that the firearm is:
• unloaded;
• secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest or visitor;
• securely safeguarded at all times in a locked personal vehicle;
Guests or visitors who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises. A blanket exemption to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.

PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.06, PENAL CODE (TRESPASS BY LICENSE HOLDER WITH A CONCEALED HANDGUN), A PERSON LICENSED UNDER SUBCHAPTER H, CHAPTER 411, GOVERNMENT CODE (HANDGUN LICENSING LAW), MAY NOT ENTER THIS PROPERTY WITH A CONCEALED HANDGUN.
PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.07, PENAL CODE (TRESPASS BY LICENSE HOLDER WITH AN OPENLY CARRIED HANDGUN), A PERSON LICENSED UNDER SUBCHAPTER H, CHAPTER 411, GOVERNMENT CODE (HANDGUN LICENSING LAW), MAY NOT ENTER THIS PROPERTY WITH A HANDGUN THAT IS CARRIED OPENLY.
Failure to adhere to any and all of Hotel ZaZa’s policies may result in termination of reservation(s) or request to vacate the Hotel premises. In this instance, full room and tax charges will be applied to the credit card on file and forfeiture of any and all deposits, regardless of the time of departure. Your accommodations must be returned in the exact condition as reserved. The individual to whom a room is reserved will be responsible for all minibar usage, incidentals incurred to the room as well as any and all charges required to rectify or repair any damages including but not limited to restorative cleaning, carpet or soft goods cleaning or replacement, painting, furniture or accessory repair or replacement, restoration to drapes, furniture or carpet from smoke damage or fumigation or pest removal.
A State Recovery Fee will be applied to all reservations on a per night basis in addition to the room rate per night. The State Recovery Fee is used to offset the property’s State Franchise Tax.
A Nightly Amenity Fee is applied to each room night to provide the following enhancements to your stay:
- Rosé check-in…complimentary glass of Rosé wine upon arrival.
- Nightly turndown, ice delivery, purified still water and our signature Moon Pie kiss good night.
- Butler Pantry service featuring freshly-brewed Gavino coffees, Art of Tea teas, Biscoff cookies & a Fuji apple to start your day – no need to make your own!
- Morning lobby jogger's station with Gatorade, bottled waters & fresh fruit.
- House-baked cookies each afternoon in the lobby with Gavino iced teas.
- Robust wireless internet connectivity featuring Google Chromecast streaming from your device.
- Magic Carpet Ride shuttle service via our signature longhorn-adorned Denalis to a 3-mile radius.
- State-of-the-art Fitness Room featuring Peloton and other cardio and weight stations.
- Business center with printing/copying capabilities.

ZaZa gift cards may be purchased in person at any Hotel ZaZa location. A ZaZa issued gift card (gift card) can be used for good and services at any Hotel ZaZa location up to the value stated on the gift card. If the cost of such goods and services is more than the value of the gift card, then the bearer shall pay the difference. The gift card must be physically presented for redemption at the time of service or use of goods. The gift card is not exchangeable for cash and is non-refundable, unless otherwise stated by law. The gift card has monetary value and should be protected accordingly, Hotel ZaZa is not responsible for gift cards which are lost, stolen or destroyed.
