Hotel ZaZa Policies
Hotel ZaZa reserves the right to maintain our standards of property ambience in both public areas and accommodations. This includes, but is not limited to, noise levels, electronic equipment, music, dancing, candles, lighting, television and decorations. Outside electronic equipment for gatherings/functions is prohibited. Parties or gatherings not sanctioned by the hotel and fulfilled by our Catering Department are forbidden. Hotel sanctioned gatherings/ must conclude by timeline schedule, unless prior dispensation is given by Hotel Management, Sales or Catering. The maximum number of guests allowed to spend the night in a room as well as the maximum number of occupants allowed to gather in a room at one time varies per room but shall not exceed 6 people and is strictly enforced.
All reservations for overnight accommodation must be cancelled by 4:00 PM CST the day prior to the scheduled arrival date to avoid a penalty fee equivalent to the first night’s room and tax as reserved. In the event that a reservation is not cancelled and goes unused, the reservation will be deemed as a “No-Show” and a penalty fee equivalent to the first night’s room and tax will apply. During special events or on particular dates, different cancellation terms may apply.
A valid credit or debit card must be provided at the time of booking to guarantee a reservation. At check-in, we use chip and pin technology and do not accept credit card transactions via magnetic strip swipe. Hotel ZaZa reserves the right to pre-authorize a credit or debit card prior to arrival to ensure the card's validity. Upon check-in, authorization will be obtained for the duration of the stay to include room, tax and $100 per day incidental authorization. Any unused authorization to the credit or debit card will be released 3-5 business days after check-out.
Check in is 4:00 PM to 12 Midnight and check out is promptly at 12 Noon. Early check in may be guaranteed by purchasing the accommodation the night before. Early check in that has not been guaranteed by purchasing the accommodation the night before is based on availability at the time of arrival. Late check-out is also subject to availability, may incur an additional fee and may be guaranteed by purchasing the accommodation the following night.
Poolside is reserved for Hotel ZaZa guests only. Visitors are not allowed poolside even with a hotel guest present. Proper attire and decorum is required. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. There is no lifeguard present poolside. The use of swimming activities or poolside use may be subject to seasonality or regular maintenance; private events may.
Hotel ZaZa Austin is a 100% non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted inside any area of the hotel or within 15 feet of the entrance, exit, or any other enclosed area. Cleaning fees apply.
Professional Photography is not permitted on property unless you are holding an event at the hotel. Feel free to snap away with your phone as long as you are not impeding on the ambience of our public spaces or the privacy and comfort of other guests.
All Hotel ZaZa locations are non-smoking facilities. Smoking is not permitted inside any area of the hotel or within 15 feet of the entrance, exit, or any other enclosed area. Should you or your guests smoke in the suite, a $500.00 cleaning fee will be assessed. This includes vaping and any other related activity which may or may not emit either an odor, smoke or both.
Food and beverage from outside sources is not permitted on property. This includes any type of cake, cupcakes, alcohol, delivery containers or coolers containing food and beverage. Hotel ZaZa reserves the right to confiscate food and beverage that has not been purchased from the property or to immediately and without prior notice, turn away any type of food and beverage deliveries not sanctioned by the Hotel and cancel the accompanying guestroom reservations.
The safety and security of our guests, visitors and associates is of utmost importance to Hotel ZaZa. This policy is designed for the protection of our guests, visitors and associates, and pertains to the presence of firearms on hotel premises. Hotel ZaZa recognizes that guests or visitors may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes. This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.
Hotel premises are private property. Guests or visitors of a ZaZa hotel who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm, may not bring such firearm onto hotel premises and may only securely safeguard the firearm in a locked personal vehicle in the garage. Any guest or visitor who has stored their firearm in their locked vehicle is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms, in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located and ensuring that the firearm is:
• secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest or visitor;
• securely safeguarded at all times in a locked personal vehicle;
Guests or visitors who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises. A blanket exemption to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.

PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.06, PENAL CODE (TRESPASS BY LICENSE HOLDER WITH A CONCEALED HANDGUN), A PERSON LICENSED UNDER SUBCHAPTER H, CHAPTER 411, GOVERNMENT CODE (HANDGUN LICENSING LAW), MAY NOT ENTER THIS PROPERTY WITH A CONCEALED HANDGUN.
PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.07, PENAL CODE (TRESPASS BY LICENSE HOLDER WITH AN OPENLY CARRIED HANDGUN), A PERSON LICENSED UNDER SUBCHAPTER H, CHAPTER 411, GOVERNMENT CODE (HANDGUN LICENSING LAW), MAY NOT ENTER THIS PROPERTY WITH A HANDGUN THAT IS CARRIED OPENLY.
Failure to adhere to any and all of Hotel ZaZa’s policies may result in termination of reservation(s) or request to vacate the Hotel premises. In this instance, full room and tax charges will be applied to the credit card on file and forfeiture of any and all deposits, regardless of the time of departure. Your accommodations must be returned in the exact condition as reserved. The individual to whom a room is reserved will be responsible for all minibar usage, incidentals incurred to the room as well as any and all charges required to rectify or repair any damages including but not limited to restorative cleaning, carpet or soft goods cleaning or replacement, painting, furniture or accessory repair or replacement, restoration to drapes, furniture or carpet from smoke damage or fumigation or pest removal.
An Amenity Fee and a State Recovery Fee will be applied to all reservations on a per night basis in addition to the room rate per night. The Amenity Fee ($20) includes premium internet, access to our fitness center and lobby food and beverage. The State Recovery Fee ($1 to $5, varies per property) is used to offset the property’s State Franchise Tax.
- The ZaZa Gift Card is not exchangeable for cash.
- It can only be used for goods and services at any Hotel ZaZa up to the value stated on the Gift Card.
- If the cost of such goods and services is more than the value of the Gift Card, then the bearer shall pay the difference.
- The Gift Card must be presented for redemption.
- The Gift Card is non-refundable, unless otherwise stated by law.
- The Gift Card has monetary value and should be protected accordingly.
- Hotel ZaZa is not responsible for Gift Cards which are lost, stolen or destroyed.

- Online ZaZa Gift Card purchases are only available for residents of the United States.
- The Gift Cards that are purchased to be delivered via FEDEX, are subject to delivery delays according to FEDEX shipping guidelines. Gift Cards cannot be mailed thru USPS.

At the Hotel ZaZa (“Hotel”), the privacy and confidentiality of user information is important. We are committed to maintaining the privacy and security of your user information. We may update this policy from time to time, so please check here frequently. Hotel will not disclose identifiable user information to any third party without consent.
Hotel is committed to safeguarding your privacy while visiting the Hotel website, namely, www.hotelzaza.com, (hereinafter all identified URLs are collectively referred to as the "Site"). Our goal is to provide you with an Internet experience that delivers the information, resources and services that are most relevant to you. To achieve this goal, part of the operation of the Site includes the gathering of certain types of information about Site users.
We take the utmost care to ensure that the personal information we obtain from you is not used in a way that you may be unaware of or not agreeable to. You may wish to submit an information request about our Hotel, participate in one of our promotions or subscribe to our e-mail or postal mail lists. In response, we may ask for information such as your name and postal address. In the event you opt to provide us with this information, we will only use it for the purpose specified by you at the bottom of the information gathering form.
Information collected on the Site may be used to:
- Register you as a Hotel member
- Plan and purchase hotel accommodations
- Enter your email in our promotions or sweepstakes
- Send marketing communications or surveys to you

All forms will provide an opt-out button to allow you to choose not to participate in Hotel lists and future online marketing. In deciding whether or not to join such lists, please note that they are only used for Hotel purposes or in joint promotions with a Hotel partner. We do not sell, rent or share any of your personal information with any other party including any third-party joint promoters, nor use it for unapproved commercial purposes. You may request to be removed from our lists at any time. All emails distributed to our lists will contain easy, online access to unsubscribe.
If you decide to make an online reservation at the Site, you will be linked to a reservation interface and a third party booking engine (“Booking Engine”) provided by Sandrix. While it appears to be part of our site, the Booking Engine is in fact provided by a third party and is governed by its privacy practices. We understand that security remains the primary concern of online consumers and have chosen the Booking Engine Vendor carefully.
We would like our Site visitors to feel confident about using the Site to plan and purchase their accommodations, so Hotel is committed to protecting the information we collect. Hotel has implemented a security program to keep information that is stored in our systems protected from unauthorized access.
Our Site is hosted in a secure environment. The Site servers/systems are configured with data encryption, or scrambling, technologies, and industry-standard firewalls. When you enter personal information during the reservation process, or during a customer email sign-up, your data is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure safe transmission.
Hotel has two exceptions to these limits on use of personal information:
Hotel may monitor and, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required, disclose information to protect the security, property, assets and/or rights of Hotel from unauthorized use, or misuse, of the Site or anything found at the Site.
Hotel may disclose information when required by law; however, only to the extent necessary and in a manner that seeks to maintain the privacy of the individual.
To enable features at the Site, Hotel may assign one or more "cookies" to your Internet browser. Cookies, among other things, speed navigation through our Site, keep track of information so that you do not have to re-enter it each time you visit our Site, and may provide you with customized content. A cookie is an Internet mechanism composed of a small text file containing a unique identification number that permits a web server to send small pieces of information or text by means of your browser and place them on your computer's hard drive for storage. This text lets the web server know if you have previously visited the web page. Cookies by themselves cannot be used to find out the identity of any user.
Hotel may provide links to a number of other web sites that we believe might offer you useful information and services. However, those sites may not follow the same privacy policies as Hotel. Therefore, we are not responsible for the privacy policies or the actions of any third parties, including without limitation, any web site owners whose sites may be reached through this Site, nor can we control the activities of those web sites. We urge you to contact the relevant parties controlling these sites or accessing their on-line policies for the relevant information about their data collection practices before submitting any personal information or other sensitive data.
